Order of the Day:
Need a Parliamentarian for office.
Officer’s Report:
President, “I would like everyone to e-mail me, a brief paragraph about you, your office position and with a description of your position, including a picture of yourself. The student body needs to be aware who we are.”
Vice President, “I have some ideas for homecoming we need to vote on.”
Freshmen Representative, “I have some ideas on the report the president gave, to take a group picture and poster size, and hang around on the campuses.”
Sophomore Representative, “No Report.”
Secretary/Treasurer, “No Report.”
Advisor Danny, “Talk about two positions available, more details in New Business.”
New Business
Fundraiser-
President Eric, “Member, Rebecca contacted Pizza Inn, we have dates available for February 11th, 18th, & 25th.
Homecoming-
Advisor Lewanda, “Homecoming will be February 18th. We are unable to make it a whole week. Next year we will try to find a home game on Thursday.”
“Homecoming Court Rule’s and Nomination Form will be e-mailed and must be turned in the student life office on January 31st at 5p.m. Now do want a crazy, spirit, color day? Something that SGA can push.”
“Voting for Homecoming court will be February 13th.”
Vice President Hector, “My ideas for homecoming are;
· College Gear Day,
· Western Day,
· Sport Team Day,
· Toons Tuesday,
· Or Imitate a Staff Member.
We can have a competition against each other, on most spirited dressed.”
Advisor Lewanda, “There will be a competition of the most spirited office. Cheerleaders will judge and announce winner.”
Member Jaurdin, “We need a theme, Red Out or Black Out; most out there with our school colors.”
Advisor Lewanda, “Homecoming theme will be called Red Hot Hawk Spirit Day! Red Out Day, prize for the most red spirited person and winner will be announced at the games.”
“There will be second runner ups, known as prince and princess, and also third runner ups, known as duke and duchess.”
Advisor Danny, “Secretary/Treasurer Yesenia will put the prizes together.”
Advisor Lewanda, “We need to make Red Hot Hawk Spirit Day flyers, and I will ask student services to buy some Red Hot candies.”
President Eric, “I was thinking about having a volleyball tournament.”
Sophomore Representative Megan, “Could we plan some activities for the weekend before homecoming, or the week before?”
Advisor Lewanda, “No, because everyone will be all powered up, and if we stop planning activities, they will get powered down, and no one will be as involved as we want them to.”
“Every group organization will be able to nominate a student that is eligible by the Rules.”
“Nomination will run like if someone will be running for office, voting will take place, February 13th.”
Advisor Danny, “We will set the date for the Pizza Inn fundraiser for February 11th.”
“Six or more members to wait customers and the other members to be dishwashers.”
Advisor Jimmy, “Howard College students with their student IDs can get discounts.”
Member Rebecca, “We get ten percent of the total profit made, plus tips.”
Advisor Danny, “We have parliamentarian position open. Rebecca and Jaurdin have been the two who have contacted me about being interested about it.”
President Eric, “I motion to have Jaurdin Briscoe as Activity Coordinator for the spring semester, I move to amend the motion.”
“As a trial basis for the spring semester, I motion to have Jaurdin Briscoe as the Activity Coordinator.”
Vice President Hector, “I motion to have Jaurdin Briscoe as Activity Coordinator.”
Freshmen Representative Megan seconds the motion to have Jaurdin Briscoe as Activity Coordinator.
President Eric, “Call for discussion, no discussion. I call for a vote. All in favor say, Aye.”

Freshmen Representative Megan, “I motion for Rebecca Mince to be parliamentarian for the spring semester.”
Vice President Hector, “I seconded the motion.”

Announcements
Community College Day
Advisor Lewanda, “We will be leaving February 4th, at around 3p.m. Dress casual for the drive, but formal for the 5th.”
Advisor Danny, “Dr. Sparks will come to speak to us about behavior and adequate for the trip.”
“Jimmy and Eric will be leaving at 6 a.m. on the 4th.”
Activity Coordinator Jaurdin, “Does there have to be a representative in every student activity?”
Advisor Danny, “Yes, because we have to be the voice of the students.”
“Also parliamentarian must know the Robert Rules of Order. The Secretary/Treasurer will be making the Orders of the Day, and placing them on the S.G.A. website.”
President Eric, “I will be making copies of the House Bill and have it approved.”
Officer meeting will be January 29th at 12:15p.m. in the Fireplace.
Freshmen Representative Megan, “I will be absent on February 12th.”
